Friday 30 Badminton is the oldest and generally accepted as the most prestigious and toughest of the 3-Day-Events. Horses and riders complete 3 different disciplines; Dressage demonstrating obedience, discipline, accuracy and elegance; the 4 mile Cross Country course and the Show Jumping designed to test their agility and accuracy at speed.
Chippenham Folk Festival
Friday 28th May Monday 31st May 2010 2010 will be the 39th Chippenham Folk Festival. Friendly, superb town setting with a great line-up, it is one of the best long weekend events in the UK.
Four days of the best in folk song, music, dance and traditions in the heart
of Wiltshire.
Over 200 events take place turning the whole town into a giant party.
The main ceilidh and concert
events take place alongside the river, while practically every pub and venue
in the town is used for a vast range of sessions, workshops and smaller
concerts and dances.
There is also a full program of
children's events, a large craft marquee, catering facilities and an open
air arena in the park. A huge
street fair also takes place on the Monday.

16,000.

English Heritage provide managed, free access and a free, lit, marshalled
car park, located close to Airmans Cross A344/A360 junction.
Car park open from 19:00, monument open from 20:00.1km walk to
Stonehenge - a small torch may be useful.
